Good morning
I’m after some guidance to see what I’m missing
I’m a ex Honda diagnostic technician
I live on the Isle of Man and our Nissan dealership want £250 a hour for diagnostic testing
Nissan interstar 2.5 turbo diesel
First issue glow plug light on
Diagnostic gear says circuit A
4 glow plugs removed and none worked -all replaced test light 55w bulb put at the glow plugs removed end and didn’t light up. Power to the reply so relay replaced and test light works still says circuit A faulty

Vehicle starts and drives , vehicle goes in to limp home mode and engine warming light comes on.
Ignition off and back on it drives fine sometimes back in to limp mode or the red stop warning light will come on and the engine stops.
Quick code scan
Internal failure of EEPROM. Reset fault codes and this code shows as pending with out starting the engine.
My thoughts are if the ECU had failed surely more fault codes and maybe it wouldn’t start.
Some pointer would be appreciated.
We know the vehicle sat for a while and has been started in jump leads.

Do you have the Reg & VIN please?

Going back a long time now I had similar issue on a Renault Laguna (Renault/Nissan similarities?). Not sure if any relevance, but in the injection computer configurations there was an option for glow plugs, it changed the voltage output. You said it lights up your test light but it may be worth checking the voltage matches the glow plugs fitted.

Here's some screenshots of the GFF and wiring for your issue.
Bear in mind that every amp that has ever flowed through the glow plugs has also gone through the glow controller.
