Yes Ryan one here from sunny BlackburnGood evening chaps in Ryan. I'm primarily a hgv tech from Wigan but I get dragged into doing our car and van diagnostic more often than not.
Have we got any more truck/commercial vehicle techs in the network?
Belting Dealer Tech or Indy?Yes Ryan one here from sunny Blackburn
Independent Garage and Recovey company. We've had everything from golf carts upwards through our doors πI work for a recycling company, so Indy. 6 Hooklift skip wagons 3 tractors 10 trailers and 3 curtain siders all the finest quality Mercedes ,along with sundry JCB machines. Living the dream .......and you? do you work for a dealer or Indy?
its just like cars Steve just bigger sparks and more smokeAs HGV techs we'd love to have some case studies of the faults you see, how you deal with them and what kit you use. It would put a nice slant on what we do with the small stuff.
I'd be happy to add an HGV / commercial section if it would get used π

I worked on some rum stuff overseas, mostly armoured and some pretty cool remote controlled kit inc ww2 multifuel continentals, a remote controlled D9 armoured dozer, remote control armoured Brokk multi tool designed for demolishing reactors, graders running 2 stroke diesels, armoured cars of all types, I wish Facebook had been around then π€£its just like cars Steve just bigger sparks and more smoke

I am the opposite of you, I have always been just cars and lgv up until 4years ago. Now I where I work we have a hgv workshop as well and always get dragged down there when my boss (merc trained hgv tech) is too busy, I quite like the bigger stuff now abit easier to get to stuff just more and longer cablesGood evening chaps in Ryan. I'm just finishing serving my apprenticeship, which I started when working for a fleet company, but as they have since shut the workshops I'm moved over to a dealer.
@David Marsden your right there, I've seen both first hand, as well as more (impressive) carnage.
That's one thing I found out working with fleet as there was a good amount of vans. working on them in many aspects was more of a pain in the arse, hence all the over techs would avoid them like the plauge and I would end up with them unfortunately.πI quite like the bigger stuff now abit easier to get to stuff just more and longer cables
Yes it would be, not a bad guess. πWould that be a well known American rental company?
