Hi everyone just after a bit of advice I’ve just done an oil change on a Nissan Juke, now it’s flashing oil low on the dash, anyone come across this before and know a way of resetting or have I just been unlucky and the sensor gone down? Or is there any tests that anyone can recommend doing?

Thanks in advance.

The Juke and Qashqai are very slow to register a change in oil level. I’ve had it happen nearly every time I’ve changed oil on them. I usually leave it sat for 10-15 minutes after the oil change and it sorts itself out.

I left this one sat for a good half hour thinking that it was slow to register. Luckily a hard reset done the trick, the simplest of things put my whole day on the back foot 🙄

It can be worrying but atleast you got it sorted and will know what to do next time (y)

I'd suggest to ensure you check the oil level manually with a dipstick to confirm it's at the correct level. Sometimes, during an oil change, not all the oil makes it into the engine, which can trigger the warning. If it was indeed low, topping it up to the recommended level is essential.
Additionally, refer to your Nissan Juke's owner's manual for specific instructions on resetting the oil change indicator or warning light. Manufacturers often have unique procedures for this. Follow those steps carefully.
